OIL FILTERS

​Oil filters are used to keep the contaminated oil and the particles formed as a result of the corrosion throughout the time the engine operates away from the engine and the transmission. Carbon particles, dust and dirt may mingle into oil during the operation period of the engine. Some of these impurities sink to the crankcase and are held by the oil strainer and the magnet filter. Smaller particles are percolated by the filter before they mix into the lubricating systems and harm to the system is prevented. The oil filter, one of the most important components of the engine lubrication system, is the place outside the crankcase where dispersing additives found in the engine oils collect the general corrosion found in the engine and the harmful materials. Oil filters are present in every internal combustion motor. In terms of the mechanical endurance of both the filter and the engine, attention must be paid to the use of oil appropriate for the engine and the filter appropriate for the oil. For effective filtration, the temperature of the oil has great importance.
In case of use of appropriate filter and oil, sufficient and quality oil film is gathered inside the cylinder liner. In this way, wearing liner and piston rings is prevented. Formation of adhesive wastes in the piston grooves is prevented. Decrease of bearing abrasion is ensured. Formation of adhesive wastes on the surface of the cylinders and the valves is prevented. Cleansing of all the moving parts inside the engine is procured. Re-penetration of cast iron coming from the pistons, piston rings and the piston grooves and white, metal, brass and bronze particles coming from the gear wheels, cams and the journals to the engine is prevented during its operation.
